I recently stayed at a hotel in Kataragama and had a great experience. the prices were very reasonable considering the location and amenities offered. The attention to detail in the rooms, especially the opaque windows, made for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and provided good service, ensuring that all basic amenities were in place. The location, right in the center, was convenient for exploring the area. Additionally, the breakfast with its variety of selected items was a delightful start to the day.
The hotel exceeded my expectations.

The room we stayed in had a leaky toilet and smelled of sewage, but the staff was pleasant and tried to help. They quickly moved us to another room, which had a very noisy fan, but we appreciated their effort. I would recommend this hotel.

My Christmas Experience. Just returned from my Christmas holiday and there were a few things I really enjoyed about the hotel. the location was perfect, it was close to all the tourist attractions and public transport was readily available. the breakfast was a great start to our busy days and the staff were always friendly. Lastly, the pool was always refreshing and clean.
Christmas Downer. Unfortunately, there were a few negatives too.

The location was great, as it was within easy reach of the main temples. the hotel had a billiards table in the upper floor lobby, which could be a great source of entertainment. to this, the hotel was very close to the Katagrama temple, which was a major plus for us.
The cleanliness of the hotel left something to be desired.

The swimming pool was nice and refreshing during my weekend getaway. Plus, the location made it easy to explore the nearby city and national park. the staff was friendly and accommodating, providing us with towels and even water to take on our excursions.
The rooms were very run down and in desperate need of refurbishing. the toilet in our first room did not work correctly, and we had to switch rooms, which was a hassle.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
